A Goodna family has declared there’s no better way to start a new year than with a Saturday Gold Lotto division one win.
The Ipswich private syndicate held one of the 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4327, drawn Saturday 7 January 2023. Each division one winning entry scored $909,090.91.
“It’s awesome!” the syndicate leader cried when confirming his family’s prize with an official from The Lott.
“I didn’t check my ticket on Saturday night but on Sunday morning.
“When I first read it, I misread it. But when I saw how much it was, I was in a bit of shock.
“It’s a good way to start the year. I’ve spent the day in a daze.
“It was a great surprise.
“This is a family ticket, so a few of us will benefit. It certainly makes life a lot easier and relieves a lot of pressure.
“We’ll be getting a lot of bills out of the way. We’ll be able to pay off the mortgages and have a much-needed holiday.
“It really just sets our whole family up for the future.”
Their winning entry was purchased at Goodna Newsagency, 19B, 2 Smiths Road, Goodna.
Goodna Newsagency owner Cheryl said she was thrilled her outlet had sold a division one winning entry to one of its customers.
“Isn’t that great work! It’s our first division one winning ticket since we took over the store last February” she exclaimed.
“It is the best feeling in the world! It really is. To be able to change someone’s life, especially in this area where people have gone through a lot of hardship, is wonderful.
“We wish our winner all the very best with their prize!”
