A Taylors Lakes man was left teary-eyed and shivering after his late father’s TattsLotto numbers landed him a life-enhancing win of more than $370,000 in the weekend’s draw.
The victorious Victorian held one of the 14 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4497, drawn Saturday 24 August 2024 and pocketed a total prize of $374,485.07.
The winning man was caught completely off guard when an official from The Lott called to reveal the wondrous news, leaving him in shock.
“Holy crap!” he yelled.
“Oh my god! Thank you. Wow!
“You wouldn’t believe it. I changed my usual numbers just a few months ago to my late father’s numbers, which he always used.
“It’s crazy. He passed away a few years ago now, but I only felt compelled to change my numbers recently.
“Now I’ve got goosebumps!
“Strange things have been happening and it’s just mind-blowing.
“I can’t believe it. It hasn’t been easy recently and this has come at a perfect time.
“I checked my app earlier, but I thought I had only won $3.
“This is incredible. I think it’s time for a holiday somewhere – an escape!”
The man’s winning marked System 8 entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4497 on 26 August 2024 were 5, 43, 8, 42, 45 and 44, while the supplementary numbers were 24 and 32.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4497 – five in Victoria, three each in Queensland and New South Wales, two in Western Australia and one in South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 287 so far in 2024, including 106 won by Tatts customers.
In FY24, TattsLotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 291 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $436 million.
