A Goulburn retiree has kicked off her Monday morning with the news she’s suddenly $1.8 million richer, after picking up the phone with no idea she was holding a division one winning entry.

The Southern Tablelands resident held one of the 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4153, drawn Saturday 8 May 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,818,181.82.

An official from The Lott called the unsuspecting winner this morning, who had no idea her life was about to change in an incredible way.

“Oh my god!” she shouted.

“We’ve won Lotto!

“One point eight million dollars? That’s jolly good!

“I had absolutely no idea. It was Mother’s Day yesterday and I hadn’t even thought to check my ticket.

“I’m ecstatic! This is incredible. I don’t know what to say.

“Oh my goodness me. I am so overwhelmed!”

With $1.8 million about to hit her bank account, the mother and grandmother said she’d be enjoying her prize with her family.

“A new boat is at the top of the list!” she laughed.

“Honestly, I have no idea. We will have to really think about it.

“We live a pretty simple life really but now we will be able to really help our children and grandchildren.

“It’s incredible!”
