A Greystanes man has admitted he almost ignored the call informing he had won $100,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries draw after mistaking the call for solar panel telemarketers.

The Western Sydney man held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10472, drawn Monday 21 June 2021.

Straight after the draw, an official from The Lott called the winner, who admitted the exciting news had turned stressful day at work around..

“No way! You’re kidding,” he happily yelled.

“I’ve seriously never won sh*t! Bugger all.

“I just saw the prize. I didn’t have a single clue.

“I can’t believe it! We all live and hope for the day we win, and I’ve actually won.

“As soon as I saw the phone ringing, I thought you were from solar or electricity trying to sell me something like the usual.

“I was having an intense day at work, and this news has been a bit of a pressure release.

“You’ve seriously made my day, even year. I can’t believe it!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the shocked man said he already knew exactly what he would do.

“I am going to put it straight towards bills. It will take the load off.

“It’s going to be a big boost. It’s been a tough time this year.

“I can’t wait to celebrate with my family. My wife will be happy to receive a bottle of champagne.”

The jolly winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of nine consecutive numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million for draw 1537, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $6.61 million for draw 10473.

In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
