A Gympie farmer says he can’t quite explain the feeling of discovering he’s a division one winner, making the life-changing revelation days after the winning draw.
The regional Queensland player held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4003 on Saturday 30 November 2019, with each entry taking home a division one prize of $587,936.00.
Confirming his win with a Golden Casket official this morning, the winner explained he’d just checked his ticket online.
“Thank you so much. This is beyond exciting. I can’t even explain how it feels!” he exclaimed.
“All I’m thinking right now is no more home loan repayments, no more bills.
“It’s wild!
“I just jumped online and checked my ticket and there you go.
“It was definitely a shock at first.
“I just kept saying ‘oh my god, I can’t believe this!’
“I had to triple check my ticket. It’s definitely still sinking in!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his new fortune, the regional Queenslander had plenty of ideas.
“I’ll definitely be paying off the mortgage,” he declared.
“Maybe we will also get a new car and we will be able to invest in some more resources for the farm.
“My wife is definitely going to start dreaming when I tell her the news. She won’t believe it.
“Oh my goodness! This is just crazy!
“I’m going to really enjoy this life-changing prize.”
The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Goldfields Lotto & Tobacconist, Shop T13, Goldfields Plaza, 71 Monkland Street, Gympie.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto created 193 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4003 on Saturday 30 November 2019 were 10, 30, 16, 22, 38 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 14.
Across Australia, there were seven division one entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4003 – three from Queensland, two from Western Australia and one each from South Australia and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 350 so far this calendar year, including 78 won by Golden Casket customers.
