A Hamilton man admits he didn’t believe his eyes when he checked his lottery ticket and discovered he’d won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Brisbanite was held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4273, drawn Saturday 2 July 2022. Each winning entry scored a division one prize of $580,525.35.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott this morning, the elated man said he’d be putting the win to good use but wasn’t sure what to do first.
“It’s crazy to think this has happened to me!” he proclaimed.
“You always think, ‘I wonder what it would be like to win’, but you never actually expect it to happen to you.
“I woke up on Sunday morning and had almost forgotten about the draw or that I had an entry in it.
“Once I did check it though, I was almost blown off my chair!
“It’s an incredible win and one that I’ll have to put aside while I process what’s just happened.
“I know I’ll put it to good use and it will change my life, but I just can’t think at the moment.”
The happy man’s winning System 9 QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4273 on 2 July 2022 were 17, 15, 10, 42, 31, 37, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 11.
Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4273 – four in Victoria, two in Queensland and one each in New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 234 so far this calendar year, including 54 won by Golden Casket customers.
