A Rankin Park woman who initially thought she'd won $10,000 has rejoiced in her good fortune after realising she actually scored $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Newcaslte resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10611, drawn Tuesday 12 July 2022.
Confirming her win with an official from The Lott, the New South Wales player admitted she was still riding high from the revelation.
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!” she joyfully shouted.
“This isn’t happening. This is not real!
“I went into Lambton Nextra and I thought I’d won $10,000. I immediately started crying. I couldn’t believe it.
“On my birthday, I was at work and found out that it was actually $100,000!
“When I saw the extra zero, I just kept screaming, ‘This is not happening!’.
“I would’ve been happy with $10,000!
“I’m going to celebrate with my mum, upgrade my home with solar panels and give up one of my three jobs!
“I’m totally chuffed at how things worked out. I am so grateful.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!
“Happy Birthday to me!”
Her winning entry of two random numbers was purchased at Lambton Nextra, 97 Elder Street, Lambton.
Lambton Nextra owner Trish Firth admitted the team had become teary-eyed when they heard they’d sold a 1st Prize winning Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket.
“We’re celebrating with a big sign in-store. There are streamers and balloons everywhere!” she exclaimed.
“Over the last four years we have been blessed with a lot of major lottery wins. We’ve started calling our town Lucky Lambton.
“This winning entry couldn’t have gone to a better person; our winner is lovely and we know she deserves and appreciates it.
“She always joked that we’d sell her the winning ticket one day, and it turns out she was right!
“We can’t wait to celebrate with her, give her a big hug and organise some champagne!
“Congratulations to our winner, and we can’t wait to keep making Lambton happy!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.05 million for draw 1581, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $18.74 million for draw 10615.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
