A Campbellfield dad is looking forward to setting his son up for the best possible future after discovering he’d won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Melbourne resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1700, drawn Monday 14 April 2025. He looks forward to a total prize of $200,000.

The cheerful dad tried his best to contain his excitement when he discovered his win at work, declaring the prize would mean ‘happy days’ for his family.

“Oh, my goodness! I had to do a double take when checking my ticket,” he cheered.

“I’m at work at the moment, so I’m trying my best to contain my excitement.

“It’s very exciting news. I never thought you’d be calling me!

“I tell you; this win has come at the best time as we’re trying to put my son through school.

“It will also take a solid chunk out of the mortgage. Happy days for us!

“I can’t wait to surprise my wife with the news.”

His winning entry of four random numbers was purchased at Campbellfield Lucky Lotto, Shop 7, Campbellfield Plaza, Cnr Hume H'way and Mahoneys Road, Campbellfield.

Campbellfield Lucky Lotto owner Wendy Guo shared she was delighted to discover her outlet had sold a winning ticket that would change a customer’s life for the better.

“We’re so happy to hear the good news. It’s always special to know we can help change someone’s life for the better,” she said.

“The win has already created a lot of excitement amongst our regular customers who are happy for the lucky winner.

“Over the past five years, we’ve sold five division one winning entries. This time last year, we sold two division one winning entries in the same week.

“We send a big congratulations to our winner and hope they can enjoy their win.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.56 million for draw 1701, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $15.71 million for draw 10961.

In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In 2024, more than 195.3 million winners took home more than $4.84 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including TattsLotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.
