A generous Kew grandfather is looking forward to giving back to The Children’s Hospital after winning more than $830,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The victorious Victorian held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4557, drawn Saturday 22 March 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $833,493.02.

With multiple grandchildren and having faced his own difficulties growing up, the hardworking winner shared that he had a soft spot for charities supporting young people.

“Thank you so much!” he said when an official from The Lott called to confirm the astonishing windfall.

“I really appreciate it. It’s wonderful news.

“I’ll definitely donate to The Children’s Hospital. I have lots of grandchildren myself so it’s a charity close to my heart.

“I love seeing The Lott giving back to children’s health. It always makes my day, so I’d like to do the same.

“My weak spot is young people. I endured a lot of hardship growing up and now that I’m older and I’ve lived a hard but successful life, I want to help the younger generation.

“This win will also be a huge help to my family.”

His winning entry was purchased from Greetings Kew, 1/183 High Street, Kew.

Greetings Kew owner John Hanna said he couldn’t be happier to have sold a division one winning entry.

“We are so excited! We’ve been celebrating with signage, balloons and media posts.” he cheered.

“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was around three years ago at our old store.

“There has been plenty of chatter around when we will sell our first division one winning entry in our new location and now it has happened. It’s amazing.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4557 on 22 March 2025 were 16, 11, 42, 34, 29 and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 18.
