A man from Surry Hills has had the perfect end to a hard day’s work by walking in the front door of his home to the news he is now $200,000 richer.
The Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1160, drawn Monday 19 November 2018.
In addition to winning the 1st Prize, the man’s entry of two consecutive numbers also won a $1,000 consolation prize.
When a NSW Lotteries made contact with the man to deliver his winning news, he confessed he had only just arrived home after a long day at work.
“Oh, that’s excellent news! What a surprise for a Monday,” he laughed.
“It’s just wonderful.
“This is without a doubt the best part of my day.
“I’ll have to have a glass of wine tonight to celebrate.”
When asked how he might use his $200,000 Lucky Lotteries windfall, the man shared it would be of enormous help to his family.
“There’s a lot of things I can do with that. It’s certainly going to make this Christmas a lot better,” he said.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consecutive numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $27.40 million for draw 1161 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.4 million for draw 10257.
