A retired woman from Hawker is planning to set sail after winning one of the top prizes of $50,000 on a $4 Lucky Star Bingo Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The happy winner purchased her winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket from Hawker Place Cards & Gifts, Shop 2, 72-74 Hawker Place, Hawker.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official this morning to confirm her prize, the Hawker woman admitted it took a while for her winning news to sink in.
“I bought the ticket for myself as I love Instant Scratch-Its! The newsagent suggested I give this game a go and I am glad I did,” she explained.
“I didn’t believe it at first. I was shocked that I had won one of the top prizes!
“I am very happy, very grateful, but still surprised.”
The stoked woman confessed she was a regular Instant Scratch-Its player and no stranger to top prize wins.
“I always buy some more tickets with my winnings,” she explained.
“I have won $10,000 before so I feel a bit lucky!
“Who knows, I might win again – good things comes in threes, don’t they?”
When asked what she planned to do with her instant win, the happy retiree admitted she was excited to start planning a holiday.
“My partner and I would love to go on a European river cruise sometime next year,” she said.
“We are also planning to go out for a fancy dinner and pop some bubbles!”
Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
