The first thing a Hazelbrook woman will do to celebrate her $100,000 win in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw is treat herself to a cosy cup of tea, hoping it will make the moment feel more real.

The Blue Mountains resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10929, drawn Friday 14 February 2025. She looks forward to a $100,000 boost.

The winning woman took a little longer to discover her newfound treasure as her ticket was unregistered which meant officials from The Lott had to wait for her to check her ticket and come forward.

“Wow! Jeez!” the winning woman gasped when an official from The Lott confirmed her prize.

“I was just asleep moments before you called.

“I’ve been having a really tough time recently, so this prize feels extra nice.

“I must’ve checked my ticket about ten times! I’ve triple checked it by now.

“I can’t believe I won the prize on Valentine’s Day – I’ve never received a present like this before.

“The prize is going to be so helpful and will go such a long way.

“It’s going to provide me peace of mind and security.

“The first thing I’m going to do is make myself a warm cup of tea. Maybe then it will finally start to feel real.”

Her winning entry of ten random numbers was purchased at Hazelbrook Pharmacy, Shop 1 & 3, 192 Great Western Highway, Hazelbrook.

Hazelbrook Pharmacy team member Sharon Snelling shared she was thrilled to hear one of her customers had won a 1st Prize worth $100,000.

“We’re all so excited to hear the wonderful news that we’ve sold a winning ticket,” she said.

“We can’t believe that our lucky winner has won such a special prize on Valentine’s Day.

“It’s been about two years since we last sold a major winning lottery ticket, so we couldn’t be happier to be celebrating another win.

“We want to send a big congratulations to our winner and we wish them all the best.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $4.60 million for draw 1698, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $12.07 million for draw 10933.

In FY24, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $53.4 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In FY24, more than 132.8 million winners took home more than $4.4 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.8 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
