A new house and a holiday are on the horizon for a happy Heathcote man after discovering he had bagged $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The victorious Victorian scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1650, drawn Thursday 29 February 2024.
He received the winning phone call minutes after the draw had taken place but initially ignored it, thinking it was a scam.
“That’s grouse!” the winning man exclaimed when officials from The Lott confirmed his newfound lottery loot.
“I saw your text and I thought it had to be a scam but oh my gosh, I can’t believe it.
“It’s just grouse. It’s awesome. I’m very shocked.
“My wife didn’t believe it either, I showed her the text, and she went ‘Scam!’. Sure enough, we were both wrong.
“We’d like to buy a house, so this is really going to help!
“A holiday has been on our minds for a little while too. Now we can do a weekend away somewhere nice. Maybe fly somewhere.
“Thank you so much! Dinner is on me this weekend for sure.”
The man’s winning entry of three random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $13.96 million for draw 1651, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $10.12 million for draw 10838.
In 2023, 117 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $20.6 million.
