A Holland Park woman says she’s not interested in lavish homes or fast cars, instead admitting she’d pay off her kids' HECS debts and share her $1.3 million Saturday Gold Lotto windfall with family.
The Brisbane woman held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4383, drawn Saturday 22 July 2023, and pocketed $1,311,018.49.
“Oh my gosh! That’s incredible!” she gasped when an official from The Lott called to confirm her windfall.
“I can’t believe it!
“You dream that this will one day happen but never believe it actually will.
“We’ve been playing these numbers for almost 30 years! They finally worked!
“The first thing I’ll do with this prize is pay off my children’s HECS debts. Then I can look at preparing them for the future and maybe even help them break into the property market.
“As for retirement, that can wait!
“I love my job and I always said I’d keep working even if we won the lottery.
“I’m shaking! This is amazing.
“Thank you so much.”
Her winning marked 8-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4383 on 22 July 2023 were 32, 14, 1, 5, 26 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 37 and 8.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4383 – two in Queensland and one each in Tasmania and Western Australia.
