A Tumbarumba couple were shocked this afternoon to discover they won $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The winners took home the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10315, drawn Monday 23 September 2019.
Speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon the happily surprised couple admitted they had no idea they had won the 1st Prize.
“Have we really?” the husband laughed.
“Good God!
“Far out! Holy Moses!
“We were just going to sit down and have a bite to eat, but I don’t know if we will be able to. We’re too excited, we have butterflies!
“I did not expect it. I am speechless!
“We will certainly celebrate. We might have a few ginger beers later; we don’t drink very much.”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their unexpected windfall, the pair shared they would go on a much-needed getaway.
“It’s come at a great time,” the happy man admitted.
“It’s a nice surprise for our Thursday.
“I am not too sure what we are going to do with it.
“We would like to go on a nice, long holiday together somewhere in Australia we haven’t been to yet.”
The regular players, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at Tumbarumba Newsagency, 44 The Parade, Tumbarumba.
Tumbarumba Newsagency owner Stuart Bremmer said he was thrilled for the winning couple.
“I am over-the-moon and I have been telling all of our customers,” he said.
“We’ve been celebrating in store and we are so excited.
“The customers came in today and we were thrilled to be able to congratulate them in person and help unite them with their prize.
“It’s great local customers won. They are so deserving. It couldn’t have happened to nicer people.
“We have sold a few major prizes in the past and we can’t wait to sell another. “
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.20 million for draw 1453 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.66 million for draw 10317.
