A Hoppers Crossing man has confessed he’s dumbfounded but promised to remain grounded after stumbling across his $1.5 million TattsLotto win in last weekend’s draw.
The Victorian held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4603 on Saturday 30 August 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $1,569,487.31.
“It’s a dizzying experience!” the man declared when speaking to an official from The Lott moments after his discovery.
“I always go to the same agency and play two tickets a week. But I just can’t be bothered checking them straight away, so I usually only find out if I have a win when I go in the following week and collect $20 or $30.
“I went in today and asked them to check my ticket.
“The guy behind the counter said, ‘Hang on, I’ve got good news for you’. I said, ‘How good?’. He said, ‘Very good news!’. Then he told me I’d won $1.5 million.
“I just stood there. I’m dumbfounded.
“It’s a good feeling. The first thing that goes through your head is, ‘you won’t want for anything’.
“I lead a reasonably simple life. I’m not an extravagant spender.
“Nothing changes. I will still go to work. It’s just that if worse comes to worst, I won’t have to worry about money.
“I’ll pay off the house, but I won’t touch the rest of it for a while. I’ll invest it and think about how best to use it.”
His winning entry was purchased at Super Lotto, Shop 8, Hogans Shopping Centre, Cnr Hogans Road and Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing.
Super Lotto owner John Falduto said he was thrilled his mystery winner had turned out to be a regular customer.
“We were thinking it was about time for another big win. This is our twelfth division one win during the past 22 years!” he said.

“We also hope that many more of our regular customers get to experience a division one win.”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4603 on 30 August 2025 were 10, 28, 5, 4, 9 and 36, while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 14.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4603 – three in Victoria and one in Queensland.
