A Cowandilla woman is thanking her lucky stars after her horoscope correctly predicted her good fortune by foreseeing a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize win.
The thrilled winner won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1164, drawn Monday 26 November 2018.
When speaking with an SA lotteries official this afternoon to confirm her prize, the overjoyed winner recounted how she came to hold her winning ticket.
“I don’t play Lucky Lotteries that often, and I only bought this ticket because of the name of the game,” she explained.
“It was actually my horoscope that led me towards buying a ticket. It said ‘luck is coming your way today’ and I walked past the shop and saw a sign that said ‘Lucky Lotteries’ so I bought a ticket.
“It’s amazing! I bought it hoping to win the $28 million jackpot but I’ll take the $200,000. That’s plenty!
“I’m just a tad happy! I’ve got a huge smile on my face today and will be smiling even wider when I see it in my bank account!”
When asked how she planned to use her Lucky Lotteries windfall, the astrology devotee revealed it had come at the perfect time.
“I’ve just bought a house so most of it will go towards paying off that mortgage,” she declared.
“I’ll use the rest to furnish it – I won’t be using the old furniture now!
“I hope to go on a holiday sometime next year too!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Cowandilla Newsagency, 108 Bagot Avenue, Cowandilla.
Cowandilla Newsagency owner Xiaobing Gong said he was thrilled his outlet had sold its first major prize in five years.
“It’s fantastic! We are so happy for our winner!” he exclaimed.
“The last major prize we sold was in 2013 so it is nice to have sold another one.
“I hope it’s the first of many more!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $28.60 million for draw 1166 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.54 million for draw 10258.
