A Horsham man is dreaming of future adventures in his new car and caravan after scoring $15 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The Victorian held one of the two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1642 on Tuesday 5 August 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $15 million.
An official from The Lott broke the life-changing news to the winner immediately after last night’s draw.
“Thank you!” the man laughed!
“It’s a shock! I’m sweating like anything.
“I’m glad I answered this call. I looked at the number and I’ve been ignoring a lot of calls because they’re mostly scams, but something made me think I’d better answer this one.
“Honestly, I always thought I was going to win. Ever since I was in my 20s, I’ve thought, ‘one day I’m going to win’. It’s just taken a while!
“I'd better go tell my wife. I don’t think she’ll believe me. I don’t think we’ll sleep tonight.
“I’ll help the kids and grandkids – help them to pay off their homes.
“A new car and caravan are what I want so we can do a few trips, maybe eventually do a lap around Australia.”
The man’s 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1642 on Tuesday 5 August 2025 were 11, 32, 40, 42, 38, 29 and 34, while the supplementary numbers were 15, 3 and 47.
