Up to one-in-three Australian adults are expected to have their hands on a ticket in tomorrow night’s Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw as they vie for the chance to end the decade as a millionaire.
Tomorrow, more than 1,200 tickets a minute are expected to be sold instore and online at the peak of sales.
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said the $30 Million Megadraw was the biggest Saturday Lotto draw of the year.
“The countdown is on until the draw that famously creates more millionaires than any other,” she said.
“Last year, the Saturday Lotto $30 million Megadraw created 15 overnight millionaires, who each walked away with $1,764,705.89. It also saw two division one winning syndicates share a life-changing windfall.
“We can’t wait to see how many players hold winning entries tomorrow night.”
While Saturday Lotto is a game of chance and every number has an equal chance of being drawn, the Lott can reveal the most frequently and least frequently drawn numbers for Saturday Lotto during the past 35 years.
The most frequently drawn, or ‘hot’, numbers are 1, 8, 11, 7 and 40.
Meanwhile, the least frequently drawn, or ‘cold’ numbers are 44, 17, 35, 14 and 30.
In less than 48 hours, Ms Cooney said a group of division one winners across the country could be contemplating 2020 as a millionaire.
“Will the Saturday Lotto ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ numbers live up to their reputation tomorrow night? Only time will tell,” she said.
“We know some people will be marking their entry with their favourite numbers, and perhaps even some of these hot and cold numbers, while others will simply let the lottery terminal do the work and determine the numbers on their ticket for them.
“Either way, if you have a ticket in your hand, you’re in with a chance.”
Ms Cooney said tomorrow night’s $30 million Megadraw was one of the last chances to end the decade as a division one winner.
“Just imagine kicking off the new year and new decade as a Megadraw millionaire. We couldn’t think of a better way to start 2020!” she said.
“For anyone buying an entry, I recommend that you register your entry to a player’s card. This means your prize is secure and we can call you with the amazing news should you be holding a division one winning entry.”
The Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw, Saturday Lotto draw 4011, will take place on Saturday 28 December 2019.
