Aussies are abuzz with anticipation as tonight’s $90 million Oz Lotto draw looms closer, with hours left to grab a ticket for a chance to become a multi-millionaire in time for 2024.
The $90 million jackpot for Oz Lotto draw 1558 on Tuesday 26 December 2023 is the second-biggest prize offered by any Australian lottery game this year.
The jackpot has reached this level after there were no division one winners during the past nine Oz Lotto draws.
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said one person could become the fourth biggest Australian lottery winner in history if they scored tonight’s $90 million prize.
“Up to a third of Australian adults are expected to have a ticket in their hands before the draw’s close tonight. It seems many are dreaming about a festive season they’ll never forget and all the possibilities a prize of this magnitude might create in 2024 and beyond,” he said.
“Last week’s draw was busy with the peak of sales at 6.35pm on the day of the draw when 4,113 tickets were sold in a single minute.
“We expect it to be busy in our outlets as people grab their entries while at the Boxing Day sales, and busy online at thelott.com leading up to the draw’s close at 7.30pm AEST tonight.
“My best advice to Aussies vying for a chance to win this mammoth multi-million-dollar prize is to get in early and don’t leave it until the last minute!
“I’d also recommend registering your ticket to a player card or online account. I’ll be looking to reach out to any registered division one winner immediately after the draw tonight. This is a once-in-a-lifetime phone call you won’t want to miss!”
So far in 2023, there have been 13 division one winning Oz Lotto entries that have collectively taken home more than $233 million in prize money. Three of these wins have landed in both Victoria and New South Wales, two each in Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland, and one in South Australia.
