A Western Sydney woman spent Sunday shopping for a new home after checking her Saturday Lotto ticket and discovering a million-dollar prize is heading her way.
The New South Wales player held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4185, drawn Saturday 28 August 2021 and takes home a division one prize of $1,247,527.15.
Sharing her shock with an official from The Lott this morning, the overwhelmed winner explained she had been worried the win was a figment of her imaginatione.
“Thank you very much,” she laughed with disbelief.
“I honestly don’t know what to say.
“I checked my ticket yesterday afternoon and the news is still sinking in.
“I checked it a few times this morning as well because I thought maybe I’d dreamt it all!
“This is absolutely amazing. It’s the best news to receive right now during a really tough lockdown.”
“I’ve been looking at properties I might be able to buy. It will be a massive help.
“I’d love to go overseas. Obviously we can’t do that right now,but hopefully one day.
“I’ll certainly be doing something at home to celebrate!”
Her life-changing entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4185 on 28 August 2021 were 17, 30, 22, 23, 19 and 21, while the supplementary numbers were 43 and 32.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4185 – two in New South Wales and Queensland, and one in Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 304 so far this calendar year, including 89 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Saturday Lotto created 174 millionaires across Australia.
