A Logan man is waltzing into the week grinning from ear to ear as a newly minted millionaire after scoring more than $2.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queensland resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4659, drawn Saturday 14 March 2026. He pocketed a total prize of $2,316,653.04.
When an official from The Lott called with the thrilling news, the gleeful man was left stunned by the revelation, admitting he’d been hoping for a win like this for decades.
“You’re kidding me, aren’t you?!” he exclaimed.
“Thank you very much! I didn’t even check on the weekend like I normally do.
“That’s fantastic! I’ve been trying to win the lottery for decades! I can’t believe it. I play every week.
“I’ve won a couple of little prizes here and there but nothing like this. I’m so happy!
“My wife always says, ‘Why do you play? You’ll never win,’. She’s going to get a real shock when I tell her about this.
“She’s been wanting to renovate the house so now we can!
“I need to let this all sink in in case I’m just dreaming. I need someone to pinch me.
