A hard-working woman from Royal Park is celebrating this morning after discovering the life-changing news she has become and overnight millionaire from winning division one in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto.
The Adelaide family held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 3855, drawn Wednesday 27 March 2019. Each takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
Sharing her joy with a SA Lotteries official this morning to confirm her win, the over-the-moon winner recounted how she discovered her good fortune.
“I’ve been waiting for your call! Are you calling to confirm I am a millionaire?” she laughed.
“Oh my god! Thank you so much! I’ve dreamt of this phone call all my life!
“I checked my ticket last night and saw the six shaded numbers.
“I said to my husband ‘you’d better come and look at this’ and he checked it and we got pretty excited.
“My immediate family came over last night after screaming down the phone at me after I told them about it and we were all in disbelief.
“I can’t believe we get a million dollars! A million dollars? What!
“It’s unreal. It’s so crazy. I can’t believe it. We are just all in shock.”
When asked how she planned to spend her X Lotto windfall, the over-joyed winner said it would go a long way to take the pressure off her and her husband.
“We work so hard and we are just so happy to have won! I’m still going to work today because they need me but I might take some time off soon,” she declared.
“We run a small business from home and my husband works hard all day, six days a week and then comes home and spends his spare time renovating our house.
“So guess what? Now we are going to pay tradies to come in and the house will be finished straight away.
“We’ll finally get a swimming pool and we’ll be able to pay off the mortgage.
“We both drive sh*tbox cars so we’ll be able to get some good little cars to run around in.
“We’ll keep working, but this will definitely make our lives better. No more pressure!
“We’ve always felt pretty lucky so I’ve been waiting for something like this to happen!
“We are going to live the same life, just without any pressure. We can work for the fun of it instead of having to work for the money!”
