A Golden Grove couple have confessed didn’t sleep for over 24 hours after a recent tweak to their Lotto numbers delivered a $1.8 million Saturday X Lotto win.
The Adelaide residents held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4687 on Saturday 20 June 2026. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1,818,181.82.
When an official from The Lott called the winning duo, they were just waking up after finally getting some much-needed rest.
“Good morning! We just got out of bed,” she said.
“I didn’t sleep all weekend. I was up for 24 hours straight. I felt like a zombie all day Sunday.
“We just can’t believe it. It’s completely life-altering. I was just saying to my husband, ‘How can a piece of paper be so life-changing?’. It’s scary!
“I’ve been playing the lotteries forever. I only just changed my numbers a couple of months ago. I changed them to include the great grandchildren’s birthdays and some other special dates.”
With $1.8 million heading their way, the husband and wife shared they couldn’t wait to visit Darwin after paying off some bills and helping family.
“We’ll pay off some bills and of course we’ll help the kids,” she said.
“My husband and I have never been to Darwin, but we’ve always wanted to do it, so we’ll definitely have a trip there.
“For now, we’ll go have a cup of tea to celebrate!”
Their winning marked 18-game entry was purchased from The Grove Newsagency, Shops 28B-28C Golden Grove Village Shop, Golden Grove.
Drakes Grove Newsagency store manager Sonia Taylor said she and the team were over the moon to sell a division one winning entry.
“Omg! We are so happy that one of our valued customers is now a millionaire! I'm sure this will be life changing for them,” she said.
“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was in November 2019 where we sold a $5 million Oz Lotto winning entry.
“We will be decorating for sure and telling our customers the good news!”
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4687 on 20 June 2026 were 22, 14, 6, 21, 9 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 38 and 20.
Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4687 – four in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Victoria and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
