Twenty TattsLotto players from Melbourne are off to a racing start to the week after their syndicate won a division one prize in Saturday’s TattsLotto $20 million Superdraw.

The group syndicate, whose shares were purchased from 16 different Tatts outlets across the city, won a prize totalling $3,023,671.36. Each syndicate member takes home $151,183.57 in prize money.

In addition to winning the division one prize of $2,857,147.86, the syndicate’s System entry also won division two 6 times, division three 60 times, division four 825 times and division five a remarkable 900 times.

The group syndicate was set up by Racecourse Lucky Lotto & News, Shop 4, 338-390 Racecourse Road, Newmarket.

Ngoc Nguyen, owner of Racecourse Lucky Lotto & News, said he was thrilled to have sold a division one winning syndicate entry.

“It was a team effort! We couldn’t have done it without the whole group of stores across Melbourne offering this to their customers. So a huge thank you to them and our customers!” he said.

“We created this syndicate especially for the Saturday $20 Million Superdraw to give our customers a better chance to win.

“We named it ‘Big House’ so now hopefully all of our winners can buy a big house by the beach!

“We run syndicates most weeks, and we have many regular players who come in to buy them. In fact we sold another division one group syndicate entry a little while ago.”

Shares in the 20-member syndicate were sold at the below outlets:

  • Altona Gate Lucky Lotto, Altona North
  • Avondale Heights News & Lotto, Avondale Heights
  • Cheltenham Newsagency, Cheltenham
  • Coburg Hub Lotto, Coburg
  • CTC Taylors Hill, Taylors Hills

Tatts spokesperson Bronnie Spencer said some members of the winning syndicate held unregistered entries and may have yet to discover their winning news.

“What a great way to start your week – discovering you’ve pocketed more than $151,000!” she said.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entry to their Tatts Cards, there are several syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, today’s the day to check it!  If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call Tatts on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”
