A Beaudesert man has admitted he wasn’t overly surprised at winning $1 million in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto, confessing that he always knew he’d win big one day.
The Queensland resident held one of the two division one winning entries across the nation in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4280, drawn Monday 24 April 2023, and took home $1 million.
“Can you say $1 million again? It sounds pretty good that’s all!” the winning man laughed when an official from The Lott called to confirm his windfall.
“This is definitely more than I’ve ever won before.
“I’m honestly not surprised! I always told my family, ‘I definitely know I’m going to win one day!’.
“Turns out Monday was that day.
“I’d checked the results and was stopped in my tracks. I asked my wife to check the results, then one of my children.
“An incredible feeling to say the least.
“It’s going to do a lot for me and my family too.
“I’ll be able to retire, I’ll be able to help my kids cement their futures and I’ll be able to have some fun with it too.
“It’s a great week to be me! Thanks so much.”
His winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased at TSG Tobacco Station Greenbank, Shop 3B, Greenbank Plaza Shopping Centre, 15 Pub Lane, Greenbank.
The TSG Tobacco Station Greenbank said they were over the moon for their winning customer and wished them all the best.
