A Seaford office worker’s ordinary Monday swiftly turned extraordinary after he discovered his outstanding $870,000 win in TattsLotto.

The Melburnian man held one of the six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4301, drawn Saturday 8 October 2022 and took home a division one prize of $875,660.18.

The Victorian took a little longer to discover his bounty after initially ignoring the winning phone calls and email notifications from lottery officials.

“I can’t comprehend this!” he laughed.

“There’s 1,000 emotions running through my head!

“I won $700 earlier in the week, and I was pretty chuffed with that.

“I was in the office today and I noticed I had some missed calls and an email notifying me to call The Lott. I’m apprehensive of scammers, so I left it.

“It wasn’t until after I’d finished work that I decided to check the email again and call The Lott to see if it was real.

“It’s funny, I actually set this entry up for my grandmother on The Lott app, so she didn’t have to visit in-store to buy her lottery tickets.

“Then, we transferred it to my mum’s name, so she could do the same thing!

“They eventually decided to fizzle it out and I said, ‘Bugger it! I’ll keep the entry going’.

“I’m so glad I did.”

With a boost to his bank account coming this October, he shared it would help him pay off his mortgage.

“I’m not entirely sure what I’ll spend all the prize on, but I know it will lessen my mortgage,” he said.

“It will be nice to live a bit more comfortably. I’ll still continue life as normal!”

His winning 24-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries
