Just when a Glenelg man thought his holiday in Perth couldn’t get any better, he nabbed $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The South Australian resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1576, drawn Monday 13 June 2022.
The gleeful man was about to check out from his holiday accommodation to fly home when he received a winning phone call from The Lott.
“Far out! I’ve won $200,000?” he cheered.
“I had to unpack my suitcase and find my laptop to login to my online The Lott account. I’m at the end of my holiday in Perth. I’m actually about to check out and head home.
“Wow, this is crazy!
“I’m excited, shocked, and ecstatic! What a surprise to end my holiday – maybe Perth is my lucky place.
“I can’t stop smiling!”
With $200,000 about to land into his bank account, the triumphant traveller said he can’t wait to pay off some of his mortgage.
“I’ll be wise and pay off the house mortgage. It will go a long way!” he proclaimed.
His winning entry of two random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $11.09 million for draw 1577, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $15.61 million for draw 10591.
In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who a Mega Jackpot prize of $9.41 million in May.
