A Glenella woman who treated herself to an Instant Scratch-Its ticket after doing some housework has been rewarded with a $10,000 top prize win.
The top prize winning $1 Lucky Duck Instants Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Newsextra Village, Shop 6, 23 Oak Street, Andergrove.
“I’m over-the-moon. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.” the winning woman cheered when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“I love the $1 and $2 Instant Scratch-Its. They’re my go-to.
“I usually grab a couple when I run errands.
“I went home, and I did some housework, and when I was done, I relaxed and scratched the Instant Scratch-Its I’d picked up earlier.
“When I saw the lucky symbol and the dollar amount, I started jumping up and down.
“I even checked the ticket three times to make sure.
“My dad was in another room, and I ran in screaming with excitement!
“I even won a free ticket on another one that I scratched.
“I’m just gobsmacked.
“I never really hear much about top prize winners, so I just assumed maybe no one wins.
“I never win anything, but when it happens to you, it’s an incredible feeling.
“I couldn’t believe it!
“I’ve only been daydreaming with my good fortune. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with it yet.
“It’s probably just going to sit in my bank account, so I can admire it every day.
“This top prize truly feels like a gift.”
Newsextra Village owner Susan Vella said she was over-the-moon to have sold her second top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket in four years.
