A Corinda man confessed that he had to do a double-take when checking his Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket, initially believing he’d won $100 in a recent draw.

The Brisbane player, in fact won the guaranteed $100,000 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10688, drawn Tuesday, 20 September 2022.

In addition to his $100,000 windfall, the winning man’s entry also scored a consolation prize of $1,000, bolstering his total win to $101,000.

“This is the first time I have ever won such a large amount. I don’t believe this is real!” the winning man joked when an official from The Lott reached out to confirm the news.

“I went and checked my ticket and initially assumed I had won around $100.

“My first thought was, ‘what the h*** is going on here?’, and then I had to clean my glasses!

“I did a bit of a double-take, and sure enough, it was $101,000!

“This is the first time I’ve ever had a crack at sequential numbers and bingo!

“You know this was probably a long time coming for me.

“Many years ago, as I was coming back from Toowoomba, I stopped in at a newsagency, and there was something called ‘The Golden Casket’.

“Back then, it was around $12 a ticket. While I was looking, I let a man go before me in line and told him about it, and then he won it!

“I was one off that time. I believe this is payback for my good deed.

“I think we’re overdue for a night out. Even though we can’t celebrate the way we’d like, we’ll have a quaint celebration.

“There might be a vehicle purchase and an overseas trip in the future too!

“Thank you so much.”
