A Strathpine woman has revealed that when she checked her recent Instant Scratch-Its ticket, she had to sit down and brace herself as she discovered she’d won a life-enhancing $100,000.

The Moreton Bay resident’s $5 Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at IGA Strathpine, Shop 10, 451 Gympie Road, Strathpine.

When an official from The Lott reached out to confirm her top prize, the winning woman shared that treating herself to a Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket each week had become a part of her weekly routine over the years.

“It hasn’t sunk in yet!” the winning woman cheered.

“I just keep thinking, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! Stuff like this doesn’t happen to me!’.

“I’ve been playing Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its tickets for years now.

“Enjoying a Crosswords ticket has become a part of my weekly routine – it’s a ritual now.

“When I scratched the winning ticket over the weekend, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

At first, I thought I had only 9 words, but after checking the ticket several times, I spotted another word, bringing the total to 10.

“I had to sit down to double check the ticket again.

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

“I’m still struggling to process the news.

“The prize is going straight towards a new car. I’ve been having lots of issues with my current car, so I’m feeling very grateful.”

IGA Strathpine team member Stacey Johnston shared she was thrilled to hear her outlet had sold another top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

“Wow! We’re so excited to have sold another top prize-winning ticket!” she said.

“In November 2023, we sold a top prize-winning ticket worth $200,000. We seem to have a lot of luck with Instant Scratch-Its tickets.

“Next, we’d love to sell a division one winning ticket.

“We wish our winner all the best and hope she enjoys going shopping.”
