A Frenchs Forest dad has found himself in a sleepy state of disbelief after checking his ticket right before bed only to discover he’d scored $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw.

The northern Sydney resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4516, drawn Wednesday 5 March 2025. He can look forward to a dreamy $1 million.

The excited winner relayed how he discovered his million-dollar win when an official from The Lott called him this morning.

“I was hoping you would call soon!” he laughed.

“I checked my ticket just before I went to bed and after that I didn’t sleep a wink.

“I was literally about to turn off the light and then I opened my app. I just went ‘Oh my god,’ and I turned all red and felt quite hot.

“My partner said, ‘What’s going on?’ and I said, ‘I think we’ve won the lotto!’. Then we both started to freak out.

“Even this morning I was wondering if I dreamt it all.

“Thank you so much. It’s amazing.

“It’s weird too because normally I play QuickPicks but lately I’ve been marking and replaying numbers instead. I’m glad it worked out for me!”

With $1 million heading his way, the winning man shared how life-changing it was for him and his family after dealing with a tough couple of months.

“I’m so happy. It’ll change our life,” he said.

“These past few months have been such a battle.

“Hopefully I can work less and help my family as much as possible.

“I’d like to invest as well and look to buying a property.”

His 18-game marked entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4516 on Wednesday 5 March 2025 were 34, 26, 38, 19, 4 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 35.
