A Lane Cove winner has revealed he’s a lucky man after scoring $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The regular player won the guaranteed 1st prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1168, drawn Friday 30 November 2018.
Sharing his joy with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the elated man said he was shocked when he realised he won the major prize.
“I was going in and out of meetings and I thought I better check my emails,” he revealed.
“I thought great I’ve won $1000 and then realised it was in fact $200,000!”
“I couldn’t believe it, this is the second time I’ve won a top prize, years ago I shared in a syndicate that won division one in Saturday Lotto which was also about $200,000.”
“I’m going to keep trying for the $29 million jackpot, I admit, I’m a very lucky person.”
The winner also revealed he’s been playing the same numbers for decades.
“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries since the very first game in 1970, always with the same numbers that I originally chose with my mum,” he explained.
“I’ve played them in every draw, in every game, religiously.”
The Lane Cove winner said he will use his windfall to pay a few bills and spoil his family this Christmas.
“This will really help me out, especially before Christmas,” he said.
“I spoil my family all the time but now I’ll spoil them even more!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning entry from East Village Newsagency, 22 Gadigal Avenue, Zetland.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $29.32 million for draw 1169 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.67 million for draw 10259.
