An Eagleby couple are not far away from realising the great Australian dream by purchasing their first home after winning $ 1 million in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.
The Logan couple held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4183, drawn Wednesday 18 May 2022. Each division one winning entry scored an incredible $1 million.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the winning woman described the moment she checked her ticket last night and discovered her win.
“I always check my number after the draw. Last night, as I marked them off, I remember thinking, ‘oh I’ve got a few numbers here’,” she proclaimed.
“As I continued to circle my numbers, I realised, ‘oh my god, I have all of them!’ and it just hit me - I’ve won the lottery.
“I immediately called my husband to tell him because he works away, and he couldn’t believe it either!
“I’m getting emotional because it means we’ll finally be able to buy our own home after renting all our lives.
“To not have that stress around paying rent is going to be incredible, and my husband is nearing retirement, so it’s a huge weight off our shoulders.
“I’ve checked and re-checked the ticket all morning. I still just can’t believe this is my life!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Tobacco Station Eagleby, 77 Fryar Road, Eagleby.
Tobacco Station Eagleby, manager Rahul Khatri said it was “phenomenal” to sell his store’s first million-dollar division one winning ticket.
“We’ve been so excited all morning!” he said.
“It’s fantastic for the customer, and there’s a real buzz around the store today.
“We want to congratulate the winners and wish them all the best in the future. We’re sure they’re going to have a fantastic life.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4183 on Wednesday 18 May 2022 were 17, 19, 14, 30, 12, 27, while the supplementary numbers were 32 and 28.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4183 – One each in Queensland and New South Wales.
