A man from Caroline Springs has admitted he can’t stop shaking from the revelation he’s now more than $500,000 richer after winning division one in TattsLotto.
The Melbourne man held one of the eight division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3857, drawn on 7 July 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $503,668.42.
As his entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, Tatts officials had no way to deliver the life-changing news.
Speaking to a Tatts official to claim his prize more than a week after the winning numbers were drawn, the happy winner recounted how he discovered he was a division one winner.
“I’m still shaking. I just don’t believe it. I’ve never won anything in my life ever,” the man exclaimed.
“I actually just went to buy another ticket and while I was there I got them to check it.
“It was a shock! I’m still letting it all sink in.
“This ticket has been in my pocket the whole time – just in my wallet.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for a long time, but I just picked them.
The man in his 50s plans to pay off his house mortgage and treat those at the top of his Lotto List – his children.
“I’ve already booked a holiday!” he declared.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 18-game QuickPick entry at Caroline Springs Lotteries, Kiosk 5, Caroline Springs Shopping Centre, Lake Street, Caroline Springs.
