A Cobbitty woman has confessed she’s still reeling after nearly skipping her weekly Oz Lotto ticket, only to end up winning the entire $15 million jackpot in last night’s draw.
The New South Wales resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1645, drawn Tuesday 26 August 2025 and pocketed a staggering $15 million.
When an official from The Lott called, the winning woman had no idea she had become an overnight multi-millionaire and was left completely stunned by the news.
“Oh my gosh! I’m shaking!” she cried.
“You’re kidding me?! Did you really say $15 million? I can’t stop shaking.
“Oh my god. You know what’s crazy? I play Oz Lotto every week, but I almost didn’t get this ticket.
“Last night, just before the draw closed, I realised I had forgotten to get my weekly ticket. I even thought, ‘Do I give it a miss?’. I’m so glad I didn’t!
“My husband is going to be so excited when I tell him!
“The funny thing is, he doesn’t play, but whenever he gets a call from an unknown number, he answers and says, ‘Well, it might be The Lott!’. I always say, ‘They’ll be calling me if we win!’. This time, I was right after all.”
With a hefty prize heading her way just in time for spring, the gleeful winner shared her initial plans included upgraded holiday and helping her children.
“I can help my kids. I really can’t believe this,” she said.
“We do have an upcoming holiday which we can relax on but really, this is all for our kids. It’ll be life-changing.
“I’m tongue-tied now. I’m just sitting here trying to take it all in. Thank you so much!”
Her winning 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1645 on Tuesday 26 August 2025 were 28, 17, 35, 29, 10, 36 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 37, 47 and 24.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1645 – the one in New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 279 so far in 2025, including 74 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY25, 12 Oz Lotto division one winning across Australia collectively won more than $414 million.
During this time, the biggest Oz Lotto prize was a $100 million jackpot pocketed by an Elizabeth Hills woman in February 2025.
Of the 12 Oz Lotto division one winning entries in FY25, four landed in New South Wales, three each in Queensland Victoria, and two in South Australia.
