An Indooroopilly man has described his multi-million-dollar Saturday Gold Lotto win as magical, explaining he looked forward to the financial freedom.
The south-east Queenslander held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4199, drawn Saturday 16 October 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $3,333,333.34.
When an official contacted the man this morning, he had no idea he’d kicked off the week $3.33 million richer.
“That is unbelievable!” he gushed.
“I am so overwhelmed.
“I just cannot stop keep laughing – this is hilarious!
“What a wonderful thing.
“You just never know when your day will come and today is my day! This is so incredible.
“I really hope the other five winners from the draw are having the best possible day like we are.
“How magical!”
When asked how he thought he might enjoy his prize, the Brisbane resident explained he needed some time to plan.
“It’s so lovely to think that this will really take the pressure off, and I will be able to just breathe and not have to worry about anything,” he said.
“I will put it in the bank and take my time to think about what I want to spend it on and what is really important to me.
“There’s so much I can do with it!”
His life-changing 50-game QuickPick was purchased at Metro News on 1st – Shop 1002, Level 1 Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, 318 Moggill Road, Indooroopilly.
Metro News on 1st employee Carol Hinds said the team was overwhelmed with excitement for the winner.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4199 on 16 October 2021 were 27, 17, 2, 26, 7 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 19 and 1.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4199 – two each from Victoria and Western Australia, and one each from New South Wales and Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 361 so far this calendar year, including 89 won by Golden Casket customers.
