An inner-city Sydney retiree has snagged the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st Prize, describing his unexpected $100,000 win as “delightful”.

NSW Lotteries officials contacted the winner this morning to break the news of his $100,000 prize.
“Have I really won that?” he questioned.

“That’s unbelievable! I feel fantastic!
“I need some time to let this news sink in but it’s going to be wonderful to have a spare $100,000, I can tell you that!
“I’m absolutely delighted!”
The winner revealed he’d been playing lottery for decades and would celebrate his win in style.
“I play different lottery games every week,” he explained.
“I just bought one Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot number this morning because I had a little win on another game and that’s the ticket I won with! I can’t believe it!
“This is the first big win I’ve ever had and it’s wonderful! “I’ll have to have a good think about how I’d like to use my prize but I think I will put some in the bank and enjoy the rest.
“I’ll be going on a holiday that’s for sure. I’d love to go to Japan.
“I’ll definitely enjoy every moment of it!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of one random number at Kings Cross Newsagency, 101 Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $50.92 million for draw 1259 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.40 million for draw 10280.
