A Manoora woman has attributed her ‘heaven-sent’ $250,000 Instant Scratch-Its win to her beloved late husband who passed away a decade ago.
The Cairns resident’s top prize-winning $10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Centre Fair Lotto, 5 Reservoir Road, Manoora.
“Gee whiz – I’m still in shock!” she told an official from The Lott.
“It’s the most beautiful thing. I can’t believe it.
“Sadly, I lost my hubby 10 years ago. He might’ve been looking down at me, granting this win for me.
“It makes you cry thinking about it!
“Honestly, this win wouldn’t be made possible if it wasn’t for the team at Cignall Reservoir Road.
“I’m not just saying this because I’m a winner, they’re a lovely team at the outlet! They deserve this winning moment.
“Whenever I visit them, they bend over backwards for me. They’re great asset to the community and I’m making a beautiful hamper to gift them.
“Thank you so much.”
When asked how the North Queenslander planned to enjoy her instant win, she shared it would help her pay off some bills.
“Since losing my husband a decade ago, I’ve been paying bills off solo,” she shared.
“This will be a tremendous help.”
