A Castle Hill man has confessed he has been stuck in a dreamy haze ever since he unwrapped a birthday present and discovered he’d been gifted a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $100,000.
The western Sydney resident’s winning $5 Wild Side Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Kellyville Plaza Newsagency, Shop 21, 90 Wrights Road, Kellyville.
The winning man who claimed his prize in person and experienced the exclusive winner’s lounge, shared the experience felt nothing short of surreal.
“It’s insane! It still doesn’t feel real,” he said when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“It was my birthday recently and I got gifted several Instant Scratch-Its tickets by friends and family.
“I ended up with a pile of tickets which I scratched over a couple of days.
“When I scratched the top prize-winning ticket, I honestly went into shock, and I don’t think I’ve been able to think straight since.
“I visited the The Lott head office today and it was very exciting. It was surreal to sit in the winner’s lounge and know that I’m a part of the winning club now!”
With the ultimate birthday present soon to hit his bank account, the winning man confessed he was still struggling to wrap his head around the enormity of his prize.
“I’ve been wanting to think about what I’ll do, but I’m still trying to process the news,” he said.
“Once I see the money in my bank, I’ll definitely tee up some celebrations with my family.
“It would be nice to go away somewhere and take a break.”
