Australia’s biggest lottery jackpot has been shared by three division one winning entries – with the record-breaking $160 million prize split among entries from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.

Each of the three division one winning entries in Powerball draw 1380, drawn Thursday 27 October 2022, scored $53,333,333.34.

In addition to the three division one winners, there were a total of 6,683,605 prizes worth more than $117 million won in divisions two to nine in tonight’s Powerball draw. Among those winners were 42 division two winners who each took home a $77,258.20 prize.

Immediate retirement calling Clyde blue-collar worker who scored $53.3 million Powerball win

A Clyde blue-collar worker struggled to hold back tears as lottery officials broke the news that he held a division one winning entry in tonight’s Powerball draw.

The unassuming winner was having a quiet night at home when he received the life-changing call confirming his multi-million-dollar share of the Powerball jackpot.

“Oh my god, oh my god. I can’t believe this!” he cried while fighting back the tears.

“Holy sh*t! Holy sh*t!

“Far out! I’m absolutely speechless.

“I never thought I’d get this phone call. This has changed my life!

“I can’t wait to tell my family!

“My family is set! My grandson wanted a dog for Christmas and I was trying to organise it for him. He can have all the dogs in the world now!

“I’m done with work! I’m out of here, mate. Retirement is calling.

“This is absolutely mind-blowing.

“Thank you so much, mate!

“I think I’m in shock, but this is incredible.”

The man’s winning entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s official lotteries.

Search underway for mystery New South Wales multi-millionaire

The hunt has begun for the mystery New South Wales ticketholder who also scored division one in tonight’s Powerball draw.

This winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means lottery officials have no way of reaching out to the newly-minted multi-millionaire. Instead, they must wait for the ticketholder to check their ticket and discover the life-changing news themselves.

The winning ticket was purchased at a NSW Lotteries outlet in the City of Penrith.

The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said he was eagerly waiting for the mystery Sydney Powerball winner to check their entry and make contact to start the process of claiming their prize.

“We are thrilled to see three division one winning entries share this record-breaking jackpot tonight,” he said.

“Of course, we were hoping to reach out to all of our division one winners to break the incredible news, but unfortunately, we will have to wait for our New South Wales winner to come forward.

“Just imagine how more than $53 million might change your life and the lives of your closest family and friends. We can’t wait for them to discover this incredible news!

“There are 53 million reasons why all New South Wales players who had an entry into tonight’s draw should check their tickets.

“If you discover you’re holding a division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!”

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1380 on Thursday 27 October 2022 were 10, 4, 12, 18, 2, 34 and 7. The all-important Powerball number was 7.

Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Powerball draw 1380one each from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
