A Gosford mum let out such a loud scream after discovering she’d won more than $100,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries draw that her daughter came running, convinced something terrible had happened.
The Central Coast resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10990, drawn Thursday 29 May 2025. She also pocketed a consolation prize, boosting her total windfall to $101,000.
When an official from The Lott confirmed the news, the winning woman relayed the emotional moment she checked her winning ticket.
“Oh my god! I’ve just checked my app and saw the win!” she exclaimed.
“I’ve been shedding happy tears for the last 20 minutes.
“I was just logging into the app to buy a ticket for the weekend’s draw when I thought to check this one. The minute I clicked on my ticket I thought, ‘What? What!? No way!’.
“It felt so surreal.
“My daughter came running into my room because she thought something was wrong.
“We were jumping up and down and hugging each other with joy. It was such a special moment.
“Thank you for this magical phone call!”
The overjoyed mother shared the prize would come in handy and allow her to make some upgrades to her life.
“This money will go straight towards a new car. My current car is 20 years old and barely working these days,” she shared.
“It would also be nice to get some new appliances for the house.”
Her winning entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.28 million for draw 1704, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $19.61 million for draw 10991.
In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.
