A Lake Illawarra woman has shown that family comes first, revealing her first thought after discovering her $2 million Saturday Lotto win was to call her parents and share the life-changing news.
The New South Wales resident held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4515, drawn Saturday 26 October 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $2 million.
When an official from The Lott reached out to the winner, she had just checked her ticket moments before and was still giggling with excitement.
“I’m shaking. Oh my gosh!” she said.
“Sh**! I’ve been ignoring your phone calls all day.
“When I checked my ticket, I saw two million, I just went ‘Oh my sh**!’.
“I can buy a house, and I’ll have no mortgage! I can’t believe it.
“I’ve never won something like this. I can’t stop smiling and laughing.
“I’ve got to call mum and dad! I’ll make sure they’re sitting down.
“Dad’s going to be in disbelief when I tell him I won on a QuickPick because he’s played the same numbers for years and never won something like this.
“Oh gosh. I don’t know how I’ll keep quiet tomorrow; I can never keep secrets.
“Now I can move closer to my parents, or they can move closer to me. We’ve always talked about it but now it can be a reality.”
Her 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4515 on 26 October 2024 were 42, 35, 1, 43, 25 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 19 and 31.
Across Australia, there were 10 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4515 – four in New South Wales, three in Queensland, two in Western Australia and one in Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 375 so far in 2024, including 107 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY24, Saturday Lotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
