An ecstatic Joyner mum has unleashed a mighty scream of delight while claiming one of the $250,000 top prizes on her $10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The thrilled woman bought her winning $10 Platinum Payout Instant Scratch-Its ticket from Nextra Morayfield Village, Shop 5, Morayfield Shopping Centre, 165-171 Morayfield Road, Morayfield.
“Ahhhhhhh!” the woman screamed when a Golden Casket official confirmed her win this week.
“I’m shaking! I can’t believe it. Can you pinch me?
“I scratched it a few days ago. I’ve had it all weekend. I’ve had it in the safe and I’ve been so anxious to keep the ticket safe until I could hand it over and claim the prize.
“I didn’t want to leave the house on the weekend because I didn’t want to leave the ticket.”
The thrilled winner shared she bought her winning ticket from a small win on another Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
She has also thought long and hard about how she might use her instant windfall.
“We want to get a swimming pool, pay the last bit off our mortgage and we want to use the rest as a deposit to buy a unit at the coast,” she said.
Nextra Morayfield Village owner Ken Allan said he was delighted to see another one of his customers land an Instant Scratch-Its top prize.
“We’ve done it again!” he laughed.
“Our store also sold the million-dollar top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its a few years ago and now this $250,000. It must be a very lucky store.
“We can’t wait to tell our customers about having another big win!”
In the 12 months to 30 June 2018, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
