A $1.2 million TattsLotto win has proven to be the perfect prescription for a Bentleigh grandmother, who’s already spreading the good news far and wide, including to her doctor.
The Melbourne resident held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4661, drawn Saturday 21 March 2026. Each division one winning entry can look forward to $1,260,098.55.
When an official from The Lott called to deliver the exciting news, the winning woman was overcome with adrenaline.
“What! Are you joking?!” she screamed.
“One point two million dollars! Darling, you better not be joking me.
“I have dreamt of this moment all my life. I need a pen to write this down. No one’s going to believe me!
“You’ve made an old lady very happy! I’m in my eighties and I’ve been playing over 50 years.
“Oh my god. I’m frazzled. I need to call my children and my friends. They’re not going to believe this.
“I can tell my doctor too. I’ve been sick a lot lately, so she’ll be so excited for me.
“I’ve needed to get things done around the house for so long. Now I finally can. I’ll also put some aside and get some help with it. I’ve never had a million dollars!
“The newsagency I buy my tickets from are wonderful. They’re going to be thrilled.
“Thank you. I wish I could give you a big hug right now. You’ve made this grandma’s life!”
The winning marked 18-game entry was purchased from Ormond News & Lotto, Shop 1, 491 North Road, Ormond.
Ormond News & Lotto owner Raoul Mirchandaney said he was thrilled to sell his first division one winning entry since owning the store.
“This is the first division one winning ticket we’ve sold! It’s amazing!” he said.
“I’ve owned the outlet for two and a half years and it was a huge goal of mine to sell one. It’s a great milestone for us.
“We’ll be spreading the good news and letting all the customers know.
“We’re so happy for our winner. We wish them all the best.”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4661 on 21 March 2026 were 27, 20, 11, 16, 45 and 43, while the supplementary numbers were 39 and 22.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4661 – three in Victoria and one each in Western Australia and Tasmania.
