Straight after the draw, an official from The Lott dialled the New South Welshman, who immediately answered the phone with enthusiasm.

“Wow! Wow! Wow!” he cheered.

“I’m in shock.

“I don’t even know how to comprehend this.

“I’m so grateful for this call. I didn’t think I’d ever win a major lottery prize!

“I really have to let this all sink in.

“It might take a while to process.

“I’d love to buy a family car, and when my daughter gets her licence, she can have it!

“This is a special moment.”

His winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased at Katoomba Newsagency, Shop 1, 101 Katoomba Street, Katoomba.
