A Kennington man has officially joined the millionaires’ club after receiving a $1 million winning TattsLotto ticket as a gift from his family.
The Victorian held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4205, drawn Saturday 6 November 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,015,392.69.
So far in 2021, there have been 13 division one wins in the Central Highlands & Goldfields region worth more than $36.3 million.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the Bendigo man relayed how he discovered his life had changed forever.
“It’s absolutely unreal!” he laughed.
“I found out last night when I was listening to the radio. I’d heard they were on the hunt for a missing winner,so I checked my ticket on The Lott website and that’s when it said I’d won.
“I didn’t believe it at first, so I got my wife to check, and she didn’t believe it either. We checked over and over again.
“I didn’t know how to feel. I just couldn’t comprehend the fact that I was instantly rich!
“I’m a millionaire! I’ve joined the millionaires’ club! It’s unbelievable.
“I still haven’t got my head around it all. It’s so overwhelming.
“Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I am absolutely blown away.
“I actually received this ticket as a gift from some family members. We went straight over to theirs last night to share the news, and they were so genuinely happy for us.
“We celebrated with champagne together. It was great.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his million-dollar prize, the elated man said he had a few ideas.
“It’s really overwhelming! I am struggling to believe this is even true,” he admitted.
“We would really like to go on a few overseas holidays next year, and then we might invest some as well.
“Then we will help our family and just use it to have a bit of fun!”
His winning entry was purchased at Strath Lotteries, Shop 5 Woolworths Kennington Shopping C, 150-158 Condon Street, Kennington.
Strath Lotteries owners Syed and Noreen Mushtaq said they were relieved their division one winner had discovered the exciting news.
“We were really excited to hear the news! We couldn’t be happier to hear we’ve put a million-dollar smile on one of our customer’s faces,” Syed said.
“There are lots of celebrations in store. All of our customers are so happy to know we’ve sold a division one winning ticket to a local customer. This is our 15th division one win, which is amazing.”
“We’d love to send our congratulations to our winner. We wish him the best of luck with his life-changing win! We are ecstatic for him,” Noreen added.
“We can’t wait to sell more division one wins and make many more of our customers happy winners!”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4205 on 6 November 2021 were 33, 28, 15, 30, 11 and 39, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 19.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4205 – three from Victoria, two from Western Australia and one from Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 397 so far this calendar year, including 145 won by Tatts customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, TattsLotto created 174 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 341 division one winning in TattsLotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $435.21 million.
