Marking his entry with “key dates” has delivered an Algester man a memorable multi-million dollar Saturday Gold Lotto win.
The south Brisbane man held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3893, drawn Saturday 10 November 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $2,034,570.34.
As well as winning the multi-million dollar division one prize, the man’s marked System 8 entry also scored division two 6 times, division three 6 times and division four 15 times, bolstering his total prize to $2,104,615.39.
Speaking to a Golden Casket official this morning, the Brisbane resident admitted he was overwhelmed by the magnitude of his win.
“It’s unbelievable! Just unbelievable,” he laughed.
“Yesterday morning I opened my email – I get the results sent to me. I recognised some of the numbers so I went straight into the Lott app.
“I couldn’t believe how much the prize was. I screenshotted the app – you always doubt what you’re seeing.
“I’ve only been playing those numbers for the past few months – they’re key dates, like birthdays and things like that.”
With more than $2 million about to land in his bank account, the man’s attention has started to turn to how he might use his Gold Lotto prize.
“It’s come at a good time. I’ll look after the house, buy a new car and go from there,” he said.
“I’ll keep working. I love what I do and this isn’t going to change that.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his System 8 entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 157 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3893 on Saturday 10 November 2018 were 23, 38, 21, 1, 44 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 20 and 17.
Across Australia there were two division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3893 – one each from Queensland and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 139 so far this financial year, including 33 won by Golden Casket customers.
