A King Scrub woman plans to pursue her life-long dream of rescuing animals after winning a $250,000 Play For Purpose First Prize Pack with a ticket supporting her nominated charity, The Rescue Collective.

The kind-hearted Moreton Bay resident can look forward to her winnings, which include an Audi Q3 Wagon valued at $77,535, an Audi Q4 Sportback e-Tron valued at $112,465 and $60,000 worth of gold bullion.

The passionate animal lover purchased a ticket in support of The Rescue Collective, revealing the charity holds a special place in her heart, having volunteered with them before.

“What! What! Oh my god. You’re joking! You’re kidding me right now,” she cheered.

“I’m a huge animal lover. I’m a huge softie and any animal cause always pulls at my heartstrings.

“The Rescue Collective are special to me because they’re local, and I’ve actually done volunteer work with them before.

“They do a lot of habitat rescue and work with koalas and that sort of thing.

“I donate to a lot of charities and get tickets for different causes.

“We’ve always had plans of getting rescue animals, but that’s all just been pie in the sky. Now we can make it a reality!

“I’m in need of a new car too, so this is amazing timing. Honestly, it’s completely life-changing.”

The winning woman purchased her entry in support of The Rescue Collection at playforpurpose.com.au .

The Rescue Collective Executive Committee member Danielle Bowden said the team couldn’t be more thrilled to see one of their supporters win the $250,000 First Prize Pack.

“Every ticket purchased helps raise crucial funds that support domestic and local wildlife carers with specialised formula, medical supplies, and life-saving equipment like ICUs,” she said.

“This isn’t just a win for one person - it’s a win for wildlife everywhere.”

Alongside The Rescue Collective, over 400 different charities were supported this raffle. The top supported charities were Childhood Cancer Association, Love Your Sister and Rural Aid.

Major prize winners came from across Australia, including Kingswood and Lower Mitcham in South Australia, and Rutherford and Ocean Shores in New South Wales, who took out the second to fifth prizes. Impressively, supporters of the Childhood Cancer Association claimed three of the five major prizes, alongside LIVIN.

Childhood Cancer Association Chief Executive Cath O'Loughlin said the partnership with The Lott and Play for Purpose is an absolute game changer.

“Every day we are blown away by the results of this incredible collaboration, which continues to generate vital funds to support children with cancer and their families,” she said.

“Funds raised through Play for Purpose directly help us provide professional counselling, family support programs, accommodation for country families needing to stay close to the hospital for treatment, and education support to help children transition back to school.

“We’re also celebrating three of our amazing supporters who walked away as major prize winners in Raffle 28 – which is just fantastic. To everyone who has purchased a ticket, thank you for your amazing support. Together with The Lott and Play for Purpose, you are helping us change lives.”
