A Kippa-Ring player has had a weekend they’ll never forget, becoming a newly minted millionaire after winning division one in Saturday Gold Lotto.
The Brisbane resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3913, drawn Saturday 19 January 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $1,029,708.99.
However, how the region’s newest millionaire plans to spend their Saturday Gold Lotto windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Golden Casket spokesperson Lauren Cooney said while we might never know how the Kippa-Ring shopper planned to spend their Golden Casket windfall, we were sure it would be a great kick-start to the year.
“We can only imagine the excitement this player must be feeling today as they discovered their incredible fortune!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner’s plans for the year will change when their bank account balloons by more than $1 million!
“In the past other winners tell us they love to share their windfall with their family, go on overseas holidays, pay off their mortgage or buy a new home.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has changed their lives forever!”
The winning entry was purchased from Kippa-Ring Village News, Shop G27-G28 Kippa-Ring Shopping Centre, 284 Anzac Avenue, Kippa-Ring.
Kippa-Ring Village News employee Bridgette Lucas said the win has given all team members a lot to smile about.
“This is exactly what we needed to kick start the year,” she said.
“Here’s hoping lightning strikes twice!
“This win will give the local community a real boost.
“We wish our lucky customer prosperity and are just so happy for them!”
In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3913 on Saturday 19 January 2019 were 26, 11, 45, 8, 10 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 37 and 28.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries nationally in Golden Casket draw 3913, including two in Victoria and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 212 so far this financial year, including 44 won by Golden Casket customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning Golden Casket entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
